We live 25 minutes away and come just for the food frequently. I have tried ALMOST everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. My husband's "go to" is the #26 Chicken Fried Rice, but my hands-down-favorite is the #A7 Pork Spring Rolls! Try it- you'll like it!

It flat out give this place 5 stars! The drinks, food and atmosphere is definitely amazing. I ordered the rice and steak dish, the wait for the food was a little long HOWEVER definitely worth the wait. The rice and vegetables mixed with the steak was to die for, I'm not sure how anyone can make such a simple dish so amazing. But they accomplished it. The dinning area is a little small, kind of cramped. I wouldn't take a huge group of people there, but if I am taking friends or family to see fort smith I am showing them to this place. Definitely a must in fort smith.

We live in Dallas and have family in the Ft Smith area. We eat Vietnamese food often and this place serves some of the best we have ever had. The pho has a great flavor and not too salty. The broth is excellent. They have remodeled and added wine and beer since our last visit. This time we ordered the pork rice, a beef dish, pho soup and the calamari appetizer. Truly professional staff and great food.

Green Papaya was standard Viet cuisine and was well done. Per usual I had Bun Thit Nuong and was surprised when my meal came on a plate instead of a bowl. The marinated veggies were more thickly sliced than usual but the whole presentation and flavor of the dish was well presented and easy to dip in my sauce. This was one of my favorite meals while in Ft. Smith and I'd definitely go here again. This could be a regular if I live here as a local.

We love this restaurant! We started with the shrimp and pork spring rolls and they were plump and come with a delicious peanut sauce. We both had the #17 for or main course and it was superb. I must admit that I prefer the fish sauce at Pho Vietnam better but overall this restaurant was great!

This has now become a regular spot for us to eat very time we travel to Northwest Arkansas. The staff is friendly and it is always calm. We have never been disappointed with the food and it is a generous amount for the price. The porkchops are delicious.

We are very disappointed! Today was the second time in a roll that our food was cold. We love the food but the inconsistency is getting to be a problem.

Nice restaurant. I have only been here once, but their lunch schedule was quite busy and I were ignored for about 10 minutes before someone even asked us if we were going to eat there. The food was alright. The food came very quickly and the portions are generous. I didn't know what to order and told them to surprise me with a dish. They gave me a Vietnamese stir fried noodles which was well seasoned and tasted good though I wouldn't say it was special.

Love this food!! They have the best peanut sauce on the planet for dipping your spring rolls in. Don't forget to try the combination fried rice as well, its the best in town!!

This place is a hidden gem! So yummy. Don't let the appearance from the outside deter your visit. Everything was fresh and tasty.

Nice restaurant but located in an odd location in town. Their set up is nice and comfortable. They even have flat screen TVs that are devoted to providing diners with a picture of an item that is on their menu along with the ordering identification number. I'm sure this is helpful to people who are new to Asian cuisine. The pho and soup broths are a little to sweet for my liking but that's my preference. There's a beautiful fish tank in the dining area that is always kept clean. I wouldn't be able to eat having to stare at a dirty fish tank. The rice plates and vermicelli noodles are awesome and I heard they are opening a second location on the other side of fort smith. A good place to eat with your family!

For a city loaded with excellent, authentic Vietnamese food, Green Papaya disappoints. I think they generally get great reviews because the service is far better than most Vietnamese places, and the interior design is far more upscale (cleaner bathrooms and tables, nice decor, white tablecloth, etc.) That being said, the prices are the highest around, and the food is not good. Despite their friendliness and attentiveness, the taste and quality of the food is incredibly disappointing. With a plethora of great places around, don't waste a meal here. I hate to say it because the place is so upscale and inviting, but it just isn't good.

This is the best place to eat in Fort Smith,AR. The food is fresh. The owner shops at the Farmer's market for fresh ingredients. The only complaint I've ever heard from anyone is that they don't give free refills on sodas bc they don't have a fountain and charge by the can. Well you really shouldn't be consuming large amounts of soda so get over it! The food is worth going there for. Order water or tea and try to be a little bit healthier!

2.5 stars. Half star more for the service. How do you get a low score from me? Serve me subpar Viet food. It's hard to find good Viet restaurants in FS, and that's why growing up, we always ate at home. And more recently, I've been completely spoiled living so close to Eden Center in NOVA...but now I live in the Midwest, and I don't get quality Viet food anymore. So when I travel and put my heart out there, and you crush it by making bland banh xeo or mediocre goi cuon...I take it out on yelp. I judge a Viet restaurant by its nuoc mam...if you can't do that right, forget it.

Our "go to" for Vietnamese food. The salad "S2" is my favorite. Simple cabbage and carrot salad with their delicious roasted pork and some shrimp. Their pho soup is also great, and if you are looking for something lighter or gluten free, have them leave out the noodles and bring a plate of shredded cabbage to add instead. Can't wait until they get their second location on Grand open!

This is one of my favourite restaurants. My gramma and I regularly visit. The owners are a sweet couple who always remember us. Service is usually fast (they've had some chatty waitresses in the past who forget to check on people sometimes) but the food is delicious and the restaurant is impeccably clean.

The food is always good from Green Papaya, typically the staff is the same, although its very clean, I would recommend that you request to sit away from the bathrooms, because somthey are small and not tucked away from the dining area, you can smell them, and they can smell pretty awful.

FABULOUS! FABULOUS! FABULOUS! I very rarely have such an experience with a restaurant in Fort Smith, Arkansas but GP deserves it! If you are in the mood for Asian cuisine that is not deep fried crap this is without a doubt where you should go! Looking for quick, economical AND healthy food for those evenings you are too tired to cook or afternnons when you want a quick bite; this is the place. Expose your children to this Asian food rather than the average grease soaked crap we are all accustom to. Service: Every single encounter is superb! The entire staff is friendly, professional, courteous, and knowledgeable of every item on the menu. After your second visit you become a regular. After your third visit, ordering the same item each time as most of us do; they know what you want and how you want it. If you prefer to be left alone, you got it. Or prefer conversation? You've got it! If my mother isnt joining me they never go without asking if she is well. The staff is without a doubt exceptional, repeatedly exceeding expectations, and exactly what I would ask for in my staff. Employers of any service staff should take note. Food: Not once have I had a complaint or even a thought that anything was wrong. Everything is consistantly prepared the same each time. The food quality has always been excepional and prepared with perfection no matter what item (s) you order. Steak, pork, chicken, shrimp, vegetarian, tofu, and soups are all wonderful! Atmosphere: Very pleasing, comforting, and warm design. My only minor issue is the hard bottom seating thats a bit ruff on those of us without extra padding. Dark tones with dim lighting provides the perfect comfortable, tasteful, and even romantic experience. You would never know this was once the DQ I ran around in bouncing off the bright white walls as a child in the 1970s after eating fudge coated icecream cones.

From the reviews this seems to be a love or hate it kind of place. I am one who loved it. Slightly off the beaten path, this is a good place to eat if you want viet style food. The spring rolls were large and fresh, filled with shrimp and basil, The hot sauce on the table added to the peanut sauce gave it just he kick I like, My Pho was wonderful with a good broth and large bowl. I didn't even have room left to try the red velvet cheesecake that I wanted to. Service was great with my waitress checking on me frequently. I recommend this place with no hesitation.

Sweet place to eat. Good prices, nice interior. The outside of the building is a little off putting but don't judge a book by its cover. I love the vegetarian options. Place is pretty busy even at lunch time. We stopped by and ate lunch 10 am which nice if you need to eat a lunch at an earlier time. Food is super hot and tasty and you usually need a go box to take it home due to the big portions. Highly Recommend.

Green Papaya is a GREAT place to eat! I heard about it on Yelp and I'm keeping the train rolling. The food was awesome- I got the v-12, and the tofu was excellent. The red velvet cheesecake was to die for as well- a great way to celebrate a meal well done. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a funky, reasonably-priced place to eat with a great atmosphere.

Mmmm, not my favorite. I guess having alcohol is a benefit, but not at the cost of taste. I just like the food better elsewhere. This place kind of reminded me, food-wise, of the chain pho place that was open late when I was in college. We usually only went there if it was 2am. During daylight hours, there was someplace with more standout, tastier food and better service. I'll come back again, if I'm in that neighborhood, but I wouldn't drive across town and past other places.

This is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Fort Smith. Very reasonable and large portions.

Wow. Amazing beyond belief. Among the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. The Pho is amazing.... and served in an amount that is really more than sufficient. The noodle and rice dishes are also great and have truly delicious sauces. The hot tea was also very good. Even better, it is cheap... 2 people can probably eat for under $20. If you are in Fort Smith and like Asian food, eat here. Location on map is wrong... is at the corner of 271 and Ingersol [about 1/4mi north of location on map].

fresh and authentic Vietnamese food is always amazing. decor is cute and can be a quick semi romantic dinner place. Try to beat the lunch crowd because parking because you maybe standing and waiting for available table for a bit.

Look. I live in little Siagon in San Jose, ca and this place blows away the entire village. It's better than Pho Vietnam across town. We tried the boba tea and the Noodle Pork Vermincelli and it was flawless. Definitely try the chili, it's probably siracha but it tasted better out of their custom bottle. Oh and they take credit card.

29B curry chicken dish A good place for lunch! The curry chicken was good as was the sauce. The sweet potatoes were a good addition to the potatoes. Sticky rice on the side completes the meal. Service with a smile!

I am a vegetarian and very happy with the options I had to choose from. The food was delicious! It was my second time there... many years apart. I live in Nashville, TN and happy to get the same good food in Fort Smith as I am here in Nashville.

The food here isn't bad but there are better restaurants you can go to in Fort Smith thats cheaper & tastier. I like that they always keep it clean.

Green Papaya is a pretty solid Vietnamese restaurant, though I would not say it is our favorite in a town filled with other great Vietnamese options. The pho, fried rice, and bun are all tasty and fresh. The portion sizes are also generous. The green papaya salad is definitely something you should not miss! It's very refreshing, particularly if you enjoyed the Vietnamese pickled vegetables. I also think the peanut sauce served Green Papaya is the best out of the other places in town. The environment is very soothing, relaxed, and charming. We have never had to wait, nor have we ever experienced poor service. There are a couple of reasons I give them a 4 Star instead of a 5: First, I think they are a bit over-priced compared to other Vietnamese places in town and I don't see where or how they can justify being more expensive. Second, while they have good pho and bun, I think there are a couple of other places in town that do it better. Finally, my partner (who is Vietnamese) says he feels like their food is Americanized Vietnamese food and other places in town are more authentic.
